Investigating the Effect of Religious Teachings on the Pain Level of Patients Hospitalized in Health Centers

Background and Aim: Health is the most precious gift that God has given to His servants. Relaxation has an important role in maintaining human health and its Basic human needs and because people have different dimensions, such as body and soul and each of the suffering and turmoil cause injury occurs. The methods used to reduce and treat these diseases can be divided into two categories that today tend to use non-drug methods have been mostly welcomed. One of these methods is to use in religious stimuli (sound of Quran, etc.).
Methods: This paper reviews the research on the impact of religious teachings on the treatment of diseases and reduce anxiety. Articles have been collected from the database (SID, Magiran, Iranmedex, Irandoc) by keyword anxiety, disease and religious doctrines.
Ethical Considerations: In the present study, the ethical aspects of library research, including the originality of texts, honesty and trustworthiness, have been observed.
Results: According to research conducted in Iran and abroad, the religious teachings such Holy Quran recitation recommended recitals and etc., could affect the treatment of diseases and reduce anxiety.
Conclusion: According to the research religious teachings have positive impact on patient care and decrease anxiety in patients that could significantly reduce anxiety in patients, but their influence depending on the cultural, social and demographic information beliefs of men and women, which can vary in the different communities.
