Background and Aim: Today, food security is one of the most important and fundamental concerns and needs of humans and governments play a key role in providing sufficient and healthy food and ultimately maintaining and promoting health at the community level. The right to food security has always been considered as one of the foundations of people's fundamental rights in every system of government, especially the constitution of countries and providing healthy food and enjoying a healthy life are among the inalienable rights of citizenship, so that one of the characteristics of an ideal society is having a desirable health status in light of access to sufficient and nutritious food. Methods: This research is of a theoretical type and the research method is descriptive-analytical. Information was collected through library research and by referring to legal documents, books and articles. Ethical Considerations: Throughout all stages of writing this research, honesty and trustworthiness have been observed, while respecting the originality of the texts. Results:The findings of this research show that the right to food security is an important indicator in the field of human, economic and national security development and provides the basis for the realization of other human rights for individuals. Conclusion: The results of the study indicate that although the government's role in providing people with access to food and healthy nutrition in terms of quality in Iran may be far from its desirable and acceptable status, providing sufficient and healthy food is one of the basic components of the development and health of society and governments are responsible for it.
