Background and Aim:Coronary artery disease has the highest disease burden amongst physical diseases and the main reason is spending on healthcare. Angioplasty is an effective treatment for coronary heart disease and patients need long-term care after angioplasty. Remote nursing or telenursing transfers patient care from clinical conditions to his home. This study was conducted with the aim of determining the effect of telenursing nursing intervention on anxiety and resilience of patients undergoing coronary angioplasty in Kowsar Hospital in Shiraz in2022. Methods:In this study, 44 patients who underwent angioplasty in Kowsar Hospital in Shiraz were randomly divided into two groups: control (24 patients) and experimental (20 patients) and their mental and physical conditions were evaluated immediately after the operation and for 20 days after the operation with the help of anxiety and resilience questionnaires and the Seattle Angina Cardiac Questionnaire. In this way, all the patients received the educational pamphlets of the hospital, but the patients of the experimental group, with the help of telenursing, received more training on reducing anxiety and increasing endurance, improving nutrition and optimal use of medicines, in addition, if needed, they could use mobile phones. The researcher established communication and the effect of distance education were investigated. Ethical Considerations:After receiving the approval of the Ethics Committee and the letter of introduction to Kowsar Hospital was given to the patients, in addition to introducing themselves, an explanation was given about the study and the purpose of conducting it and how to complete the informed consent form. And their desire to participate in the study was ensured and all the ethical issues were observed in the research. Results:The most common underlying disease in patients of both the control (54.2%) and experimental (55.0%) groups was blood pressure. Post-test using the Bonferroni method showed that before the intervention, there was a significant difference between the average anxiety score. There were no patients in the two experimental (41/15) and control (41/50) groups (p=0.872). But after the intervention, the average anxiety score of experimental group patients (32.05) was significantly lower than the average anxiety score of control group patients (40.13) (p=0.001). In the follow-up test using the Bonferroni method, it showed that before the intervention there was no significant difference between the mean resilience score of the patients in the two experimental (68.45) and control (63.75) groups (p=0.430). But after the intervention, the mean resilience score of experimental group patients (87.15) was significantly higher than the mean resilience score of control group patients (63.58) (p<0.001). Based on the test (p=0.003), the result of the Wilcoxon test, the physical activity score in both control groups (p=0.002) and after the intervention was significantly higher than before the intervention. According to the Wilcoxon test, the frequency score of angina in patients of both control (p=0.026) and experimental (p=0.001) groups after the intervention was significantly higher than before the intervention. Wilcoxon test, hemodynamic stability score in patients of both control (p<0.001) and experimental (p<0.042) groups after the intervention was significantly higher than before the intervention. Conclusion:Telenursing and patient education and communication, while reducing patient anxiety, provides the possibility of continuous education and quick examination of patient problems and where the care of the implanted stent should be done throughout the patient's life, this issue is a great help in taking drugs and controlling underlying diseases and increasing endurance and reducing patients' anxiety with the help of telenursing support system.
